Pool / Clubhouse Rules
The pool/clubhouse is reserved for the exclusive use of the members of the Covington Place Homeowners Association and their accompanied guest unless otherwise stated.
NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY!
SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!
GENERAL
- All persons using the pool will do so at their own risk. The Association assumes no responsibility for accidents or injury in connection with such use, of/or the loss of damage to personal property.
- All members are required to familiarize themselves, their children and their guests with all pool rules and regulations. Members are responsible for their children and guests at all times. An assigned key is required for admittance to the pool and tennis areas. Only members in good standing will be issued a key. A $15.00 fee will be charged for replacement of a lost key.
- Pool facilities, including telephone and bathroom will be open from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. daily. Pool capacity is 30 persons in pool at one time.
- NO SOLO SWIMMING IS ALLOWED.
- A telephone will be provided for emergency use only.
- Members 16 years or older may use the pool at their own risk. NO SOLO SWIMMING IS ALLOWED AT ANY TIME.
- Members under 16 years of age may not be at the pool without adult supervision.
- Please remember that all infants and toddlers MUST HAVE DIAPERS DESIGNED FOR SWIMMING ON AT ALL TIMES.
- POOL GATE MUST REMAIN CLOSED FULLY AT ALL TIMES. THIS IS A LIABILITY ISSUE.
- If you are the last person leaving pool/clubhouse area, please do the following
- Put umbrellas down
- Pick up after yourself – any toys, clothing, misc. left after one week will be given to a local charity
- Turn lights off and gate shut
SAFETY
- In the event of an emergency or accident dial 911 immediately. A life ring with rope is provided at the side of the swimming pool. A first aid kit is located by the water fountain.
- No swimming alone
- No running in pool area.
- All dangerous games are prohibited.
- GLASS CONTAINERS AND OTHER BREAKABLES ARE PROHIBITED IN THE POOL AREA.
- Small toys, balloons and paper are prohibited in the pool area. They pass through the skimmers and damage the pool pumps and filters. Only toys designed for pool use will be allowed.
- Unruly or intoxicated persons will not be allowed in the pool/clubhouse area.
- No pets, skateboards, bicycles or other vehicles are allowed in the pool clubhouse area.
- In the event of thunder or lighting, the pool area and pool area will be cleared promptly for your own safety. Swimming activities may resume after a reasonable period of time.
- Flotation equipment and ball playing will normally be allowed. Individuals should exercise good judgment when using flotation equipment or playing games in the pool and should take into consideration the number of people using the pool.
- Misbehavior, use of abusive of foul language, or apparent intoxication may result in expulsion from the pool area for the remainder of the day.
- No one under 21 years of age may possess or consume alcoholic beverages.
HEALTH
- Persons with communicable diseases open sores or infectious eyes will not be allowed to use the pool.
- Smoking or use of tobacco products is prohibited in the pool/clubhouse areas.
- Gum chewing is prohibited in the pool area.
- Suntan oil must be washed off before entering the pool. Waterproof lotions are permitted and recommended.
- No food is allowed while in the pool, but may be consumed at the tables located away from the pool
- Trash receptacles are provided. Please dispose of all trash properly. Help keep the pool and pool/clubhouse areas safe and clean.
- PLEASE REMEMBER ALL INFANTS AND TODDLERS (OF DIAPER AGE) MUST HAVE DIAPERS DESINGED FOR SWIMMING ON AT ALL TIMES.
OTHER
- When using radios, CD players, etc., please be considerate of other members. If the volume of your ratio or CD player disturbs another party, you must turn the volume down immediately upon request.
- PETS MAY NOT BE BROUGHT INTO THE POOL ENLCOSURE, LEFT OUTSIDE LOOSE OR TIED TO THE FENCE, TREES OR OTHER OBJECTS.
- Members causing property damage will be held financially responsible. The ember will also be responsible for damages caused by member of their household or their guests.
- Suggestions, constructive criticism, etc., concerning the pool operations should be directed to -.
- Each member of the Association is encouraged to assist in preserving the appearance, cleanliness and safety of the pool area. Toys, clothing & misc. left in pool area after one week will be given to local charity.
- Please instruct children to refrain from playing with the drain grills/ covers and skimmer flaps / covers
- THE POOL GATE MUST BE CLOSED FULLY AT ALL TIMES.
GUEST PRIVILEGES
- Guests of Association members are welcome, however, each member family s limited to four (4) guests at one time.
- An Association member must accompany guests at all times
ASSOCIATION EQUIPMENT
- No property or furnishing shall be removed from the pool area or clubhouse.
- Members are not allowed to leave personal property in the pool area or clubhouse overnight. Personal properties (towels, toys, clothing…) if not claimed will be discarded after one week. PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF.
PARTIES/CLUBHOUSE
- The pool area may not be reserved for private parties at any time. If you bring a party of over six (6) people to the pool without reserving the clubhouse for your party, you will be asked to leave.
- Private parties are not permitted during holidays and or holiday weekends and between the hours of 12 – 6:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday throughout the swimming season.
- Private parties must be over by 10:00 P.M. Authorities may be called if party exceeds 10:00 P.M.
- Clubhouse and pool area must be cleaned prior to responsible party leaving.
- Everyone must pay for the clubhouse. No exceptions unless it is a party hosted by the HOA, for the HOA members.
- Clubhouse reservation form must be completed and returned 48 hours prior to scheduled clubhouse use, or the reservation will be voided. The clubhouse reservation contacts are Jane Bell-Russo (678)0342-7917 or Gina Hampton (770-787-6628.
- Planned community events/activities take precedence over private parties. The clubhouse is to be used for social purposes only not for any activity which would yield personal monetary gain.
- The fee to rent the clubhouse facility for a private party is $75 throughout the swimming season and $50 off season.
